Up-grading from Free - What the $19 actually buys
— and what only you can decide it’s worth
AI has quietly changed what “future-proof” means. It used to be a qualification you could frame and hang on a wall. Now it’s a practice — a way of thinking, testing and deciding that has to be exercised, in company, against real questions. That’s what this community is for, and this article spells out plainly what the paid membership gives you.
The road your next twelve months is on
The map above is the journey this membership and the ToolBox exist to enable, and it’s worth being plain about the three lines, because you are already on one of them. The orange line is just you: in the AI decade, standing still is a slow decline — not because you got worse, but because the water is rising. The green line is you plus AI, used for efficiency: a real advantage, for a while. But an advantage everyone can buy is not an advantage — it’s the new table stakes — and by month twelve the efficiency-only road drifts toward the same destination as standing still: out-performed. The blue line is what this community is for: you plus AI plus your applied human attributes and qualities — the collaboration that grows the one thing AI cannot supply. That line doesn’t just stay ahead; it compounds, because unlike money and time, human capacities increase when exercised. And the word waiting at waypoint five was chosen carefully. Not efficiency. Not even advantage. Relevance.
Here is the part the map cannot show but the ToolBox measures: your worth at waypoint one and your worth at waypoint five are not feelings — they are readings. The whole journey runs on a newfound ability to measure, verify and capture your value impact on a system in motion: scored where you stand today, evidenced as the months pass, validated by the only person who can — you. You don’t take the transformation on faith. You discover it, waypoint by waypoint, in your own record. And what you discover, you own.
First, the two sentences every visitor deserves before anything else. AU$19 a month buys the membership — everything described below. The ToolBox reports, if and when you want them, are priced separately, per stage, and I’ll name every price before we’re done. No surprises at any paywall.
The room
The heart of the paid membership is six hours a month of live, interactive video — with me, not a recording of me. Each month you get Bring a Crowd, our interactive session where you’re welcome to do exactly what the name says; four scheduled Ask Anything sessions, where the agenda is whatever you bring to it; and On-Demand “name the learning subject” sessions, where members set the topic and we work it together.
I’ll do the one piece of arithmetic you can check yourself: six hours of live access for nineteen dollars is about three dollars an hour. And then I’ll stop doing arithmetic, because if you’ve read anything I write you’ll know what comes next: the number isn’t the value. The value is what happens when your question — your idea, your stuck point, your half-formed hunch — gets worked on live, in a room that wants you to succeed. What that’s worth in your life, only you will ever know.
The company
Everything in the free membership continues — the weekly article and the full archive. Paid membership opens the Community itself: Chat, Discussions, Requests, and the company of people who are on the same journey you are. That matters more than it sounds. A question asked among spectators gets opinions. The same question asked among people doing the same work gets experience.
The workshop
Paid membership also includes free membership to the i-Future Proof ToolBox — the app where an idea is evolved through four stages, each asking the question ideas actually fail on:
Conceptually Sound — is the idea coherent: does it hold together, and can it be clearly understood? Could It Work — would it meet the actors’ stated needs, and match your level of confidence? Would It Be Adopted — would every actor across the ecosystem be willing to adopt what’s needed? Would It Be Worth It — is the measurable value impact worth the total financial and human investment?
Inside the workspace you work with the AI Triangulation: the method calculates, the AI approximates, and only you validate — a collaboration built to sharpen your judgement, never to replace it. Working an idea in the ToolBox costs nothing beyond your membership. You pay only when you want the reports.
Three intelligent things, thinking together. Every reading on the roadmap above is earned this way — the deterministic record, the AI’s independent read, and your validation at the apex — which is why, when you arrive at greater worth, the evidence is yours.
The reports — save money, or make it
Each stage produces two decision-grade reports: one written for you, the member — your record, your readings, your reasoning — and one written for a client, sponsor or funder, in the plain, evidence-first register that people who fund things expect. The stage prices: Conceptually Sound A$350, Could It Work A$500, Would It Be Adopted A$1,350, Would It Be Worth It A$2,500.
Hold the two bookends. An idea that stops at Stage 1 stops for A$350 — with a report that says exactly why. That is the cheapest honest “no” you will ever buy, set against the years and savings people routinely pour into ideas nobody ever tested. And an idea that earns all four rungs arrives, for A$4,700 in total — or A$3,750 if you commit to the Full Journey bundle upfront, a saving of A$950 — as a sixty-second pitch backed by sponsor-ready evidence and a de-risked ask — where a consultancy would quote tens of thousands for a study no real life ever validated. The method pays in both directions: it saves you from the idea that would have cost you dearly, and it arms the idea that deserves to be funded.
Don’t take my word for the market gap — play the Gap Game
Those comparisons deserve scrutiny, and the method wouldn’t have it any other way. So we made checking them a game — three rounds, one prize: win any round convincingly and you get a month of paid membership, free.
Round one — beat your own guess. Before you touch anything, write down what you think a consultant would charge for one stage of idea evaluation. Then run the thirty-second calculator on the ToolBox landing page: say who you are — Big 4, mid-tier, boutique, in-house, or it’s my own idea — pick your stages, enter your own day rate, and watch the gap open. The bands are honest mid-points: at the founder end the four deliverables would run roughly $7,000 to $22,000 each from a boutique; at a Big 4, $55,000 to $190,000 each. This round is between you and yourself. Most people lose it, which is rather the point.
Round two — beat us. As far as I know, nobody else does this: we publish the instructions for your own AI to audit our claims. Download ifp-value-check.txt, hand it to whatever AI you trust, and it will independently price each report against every tier of consultancy — including the cheap end — showing its working in consultant-days so you can challenge any line. If your AI finds any of our reports cheaper like for like, submit the working on the Gap Game page. If it stands up, the month is yours — and we correct our numbers publicly.
Round three — beat the founder. Go to a real example, read the scenario the way its founder lived it — the idea, the root problem, a day in the life — then blind-score the idea’s load-bearing concepts. The reveal draws your line into the real triangulation beside the founder’s and Claude’s. Land closer to the reconciled truth than both of them, and claim your month right there on the page — your full scorecard attaches to the claim automatically, so winning takes one click and an email address.
Every claim is read by a human — the decision stays human here too. And you’ll recognise the shape of the whole game: our claim, your AI’s independent read, your judgement on top. That’s the Triangulation, pointed at our own prices.
What is it worth? I honestly can’t tell you
Here is where I refuse to do what every membership page on the internet does. I will not tell you the membership is “worth hundreds a month.” My own methodology forbids it: value is different in every life, and worth cannot be calculated — it can only be discovered, by you, in the living of it.
So run the discovery. Take a month for AU$19. Come to the sessions. Put an idea — any idea — into the ToolBox. Ask the community the question you’ve been carrying around. Then, at the end of the month, answer the only question that settles anything: accounting for everything it asked of you, was it worth it?
If the answer is yes, stay — and if you already know you’re staying, the annual membership is A$182.40, which is everything above, a 20% saving, and a one-to-one 30-minute Zoom call with me to get you started.
If the answer is no, you’ll have discovered that for nineteen dollars — and even that is the method, working.
